On 9 June 2025, the U.S. Air Force publicly released the first rendering of the AGM-181A Long-Range Standoff (LRSO) cruise missile. The AGM-181A is intended to replace the currently fielded AGM-86B Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) as part of ongoing efforts to modernise the U.S. nuclear triad.
