Able Battery of 4th Battalion, 60th Air Defense Artillery Regiment made history in October as the first M-SHORAD Battery to conduct a live-fire Stinger engagement during National Training Center Rotation 26-01. The unit fired an FM-92 Stinger missile at an Outlaw drone that tracked a figure-8 path north of the firing position, allowing the crew to acquire, track and strike the target with a live round.
