TKMS and Germany’s Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support, known as BAAINBw, have signed a preliminary agreement for the MEKO A-200 DEU frigate programme, the company said on Tuesday. The agreement enables the start of key preparatory measures from February 2026 and is intended to support delivery of the first vessel by the end of 2029, subject to a timely construction contract.
