Swiss Army to receive new Mörser 16 mortar systems from 2025

armasuisse, the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement, has given the green light to GDELS-Mowag for the series production of the 120mm Mörser 16 mortar systems.

Switzerland has signed a contract with GDELS-Mowag company for the supply of an additional 16 self-propelled 120mm mortars based on the Piranha IV 8x8 armoured vehicle, the Swiss Federal Office for Armaments announced on April 12.
