Aker Arctic has been awarded a contract by the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command to supply its ARC ILMS ice load monitoring system for the Finnish Navy’s new Pohjanmaa-class multi-role corvettes. The system will be installed on four vessels currently under construction at Rauma Marine Constructions.

Rauma shipyard celebrated the steel cutting ceremony of the first Squadron 2020 (Pohjanmaa-class) multi-role corvette. The traditional ceremony marked the start of the construction phase of the vessel.
