AeroVironment, Inc. has announced the launch of Red Dragon, a fully autonomous, software-defined unmanned aircraft system (UAS) developed for one-way attack missions in high-threat, GPS-denied, and communications-degraded environments. The system is designed to operate independently of satellite navigation and continuous operator input, enabling mission execution in denied, disrupted, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DDIL) conditions.
