This threat also extends to the maritime domain, as demonstrated vividly by operations carried out by both sides of the conflict. Modern armed forces must, therefore, possess capabilities for Seabed Warfare, enabling the protection of such facilities through early detection of adversarial actions, prevention of their execution, and effective defence measures in case of an attack.
