The Brazilian Navy has officially received the frigate Tamandaré (F200), the first vessel of the Tamandaré-class programme, during a ceremony held on 9 March at the ThyssenKrupp Estaleiro Brasil Sul shipyard in Itajaí, Santa Catarina. The new warship marks an important milestone in Brazil’s effort to modernise its naval surface fleet.
