India has signed a contract with France to acquire 26 Rafale Marine fighter aircraft worth 630 billion rupees ($7.4 billion) for its navy, the Indian defence ministry announced on Monday. The signing took place following the conclusion of an Inter-Governmental Agreement between India and France, with the contract signed in the presence of the Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, Éric Trappier.

Dassault Aviation and Tata Advanced Systems to manufacture Rafale fuselages in India

Dassault Aviation and Tata Advanced Systems Limited have signed four Production Transfer Agreements to manufacture Rafale fighter aircraft fuselages in India.

The Indian Ministry of Defence has signed two contracts worth approximately €770 million (₹6,900 crore) with Bharat Forge Limited and Tata Advanced Systems Limited. The agreements cover the procurement of 155mm/52 calibre Advanced Towed Artillery Gun Systems (ATAGS) and High Mobility 6x6 Gun Towing Vehicles, respectively.
