India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a Rs 62,370 crore ($7.5 billion) contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the supply of 97 Light Combat Aircraft Tejas Mk1A to the Indian Air Force. Signed in New Delhi on 25 September 2025, the deal covers 68 single-seat fighters and 29 twin-seat trainers, together with associated equipment.
