BAE Systems has begun integrating the Mk 45 naval gun system onto HMS Glasgow, the first of eight Type 26 frigates being constructed for the U.K. Royal Navy.
The weapon – officially the Mk45 Mod 4A Medium Calibre Gun – is the latest variant of a US Navy gun which is fitted to more than 280 warships in 11 navies.
