Colombian Black Hawk helicopter shot down by drone in Antioquia, 13 officers killed

On August 21, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the Colombian National Police crashed during an operation against coca plantations in Antioquia province.

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, has been chosen by the U.S. Marine Corps to demonstrate the advanced capabilities of its MATRIX flight autonomy system. The demonstration, scheduled for 2025, will utilise an Optionally Piloted UH-60 Black Hawk® helicopter to explore autonomous aircraft applications in resupply missions for the Marine Corps’ Aerial Logistics Connector program.
