The U.S. Army has issued a Request for Information to industry on plans to modernise and sustain the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter fleet. The request was released by Capability Program Executive Aviation through its Utility Helicopters Project Office.

The Swedish Armed Forces are currently undertaking a significant upgrade to their entire fleet of Helicopter 16 (UH-60M Black Hawk) helicopters, aiming to increase their operational range by 50%. This enhancement involves the installation of an additional fuel tank, which can be mounted in the cabin when required. The modification process, which began in autumn 2023, is being conducted in Sweden by personnel from the US Army and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
