The US Marine Corps has taken a step forward in countering unmanned aircraft system (UAS) threats with the successful testing of the Marine Air Defence Integrated System (MADIS). In December, the Program Executive Officer Land Systems conducted a live-fire test at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona, during which the MADIS low-rate initial production model successfully engaged and destroyed several drones.
