The new Ukrainian division will expand TEKEVER’s workforce and network of facilities across the country. These will provide maintenance, engineering support, research and development, and training aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
TEKEVER has been working with the Ukrainian armed forces since 2022, supplying drones for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance missions. Its AR3 drone has recorded more than 10,000 operational flight hours in Ukraine, according to the company, which states this demonstrates its operational reliability.
TEKEVER says the expanded presence will allow for faster adaptation of its systems based on frontline feedback and greater collaboration with local organisations. The company also supports Ukrainian start-ups working on technologies relevant to the defence sector.
Ricardo Mendes, CEO of TEKEVER, stated: “We have been proud to support Ukraine since the early stages of the Russian invasion in 2022 and remain committed to doing so. We work closely with our end-users in Ukraine to ensure that our platforms and technologies provide them with the critical intelligence needed to fight this war and defend their country.”
He continued: “By formalising our presence in Ukraine, we will continue to invest in this talent and foster innovation that is vital for the defence of Ukraine and the future security of Europe overall.”
According to TEKEVER, its Ukrainian facilities are positioned to allow access to operational areas and are designed to be mobile in case of security concerns. The company highlights that the move reflects broader shifts in the European security landscape and an increased emphasis on regional defence cooperation.
A Ukrainian soldier using TEKEVER drones shared: “Our unit are the ‘eyes’, providing critical intelligence for missile and artillery units. We maintain very close contact with TEKEVER and continuously provide them with feedback we gather from our missions.”
TEKEVER states that the new arm of its operations will support ongoing system development, training efforts, and cooperation with Ukrainian partners in the defence technology sector.
