Tekever partners with Apex to deliver advanced AI-driven ISR drone capabilities to Taiwan

By Defence Industry Europe

Tekever has signed a partnership agreement with Apex Aviation to introduce its unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to Taiwan for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The collaboration will combine Tekever’s AI-driven technology with Apex’s local expertise to strengthen the country’s defence and security capabilities.

The agreement will see Tekever’s battle-proven UAS integrated with Apex’s manned aviation solutions and operational knowledge to enhance ISR capacity. Both companies will work closely with Taiwan’s Civil Aviation Administration and other authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and safe deployment.

In addition, the partners intend to explore opportunities for local production and integration of domestic technologies to reinforce supply chain resilience. This approach supports the development of Taiwan’s national UAS market and contributes to strengthening the island’s defence infrastructure.

Karl Brew, Head of Defence Unit at Tekever, said: “At Tekever, we believe true innovation comes from strategic partnerships – combining expertise and technology to build a stronger, more resilient defence and security industry. Our work with Apex in Taiwan reflects this vision. In terms of Taiwan specifically, it is a key market in our global expansion strategy and we’re pleased to partner with a local leader to accelerate the adoption of UAS to advance the country’s defence and security capabilities.”

Wilson Kao, Chairman of Apex, commented: “At Apex, we see our partnership with Tekeveras a catalyst for advancing Taiwan’s defense capabilities. By integrating Tekever’s proven UAS expertise and AI-driven platforms with our extensive experience in manned aviation solution and system integration, we are advancing manned-unmanned teaming, enhancing ISR effectiveness and shaping a more resilient defense ecosystem in Taiwan for the future.”
