As Denmark’s largest defence technology firm, Terma brings decades of experience in systems integration, electronic warfare, and surveillance solutions across air, sea, land, and space. The company is recognised for supplying mission-critical technologies to platforms including the F-16 and F-35 fighter aircraft.
Odd Systems contributes frontline expertise in FPV drones and thermal imaging, developed and tested under battlefield conditions in Ukraine. The joint effort will produce drone interceptors capable of identifying, tracking, and autonomously neutralising aerial threats such as FPV units, ISR drones like the Mavic, and long-range strike drones including the Shahed.
“We are proud to partner with Odd Systems, whose innovation and battlefield-proven platforms are a testament to the strength of Ukrainian engineering,” said Filip Rensch-Jacobsen, Vice President at Terma. “Together, we can integrate best-in-class technology with agile, combat-adapted drone platforms to accelerate the evolution of future air combat capabilities.”
Odd Systems has also expressed strong support for the partnership, emphasising the broader implications for European defence. “It is our pleasure to work with Terma, a team so professional and so dedicated to making the sky above Europe safe from any intruding drones,” said Yaroslav Azhnyuk, co-founder of Odd Systems.
This collaboration highlights a shift in modern warfare, where drones are increasingly treated as modular platforms, akin to traditional fighter jets. Terma’s approach centres on enhancing mission effectiveness through advanced system integration, a concept now being applied to drone warfare.
The partnership also reflects the growing emphasis on European defence cooperation and technological resilience. It marks a significant step toward a more secure and interconnected defence environment across the continent.
To support the initiative, Terma is expanding its recruitment efforts and seeking Europe’s top drone experts. Engineers and specialists are encouraged to contribute their skills in support of Ukraine and the broader security of Europe and Denmark.
