Textron Systems stated that the vehicle is intended to offer high mobility and flexibility through a hybrid electric powertrain, high ground clearance and a composite rubber track system. The company said the design provides more than 180 miles of range and is suited to off road deployment in operationally demanding environments.
Sara Willett said: “The RIPSAW M3 is ideally suited for operations in the region because of its high performance in challenging climates and terrains. Textron Systems is excited to be a trusted partner to European customers and remains focused on investing in trusted robotic platforms that enhance user safety and mission success.”
The company said the sale builds on its wider experience in uncrewed and autonomous systems across land, air and sea domains. It added that it continues to invest in scalable robotic ground vehicles supported by more than three million operational hours of uncrewed systems experience.
