The United States Department of the Air Force (DAF) has deployed Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to streamline core business processes and advance its digital transformation efforts. This move aims to enhance operational readiness by optimising finance, HR, and supply chain functions using Oracle’s integrated, AI-powered cloud suite.

The deployment is backed by a new Authority to Operate (ATO) at Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Impact Level 4 (IL-4), enabling secure and efficient operations across mission-critical functions. A new Boundary Cloud Access Point (BCAP) also allows the DAF and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies to securely access Oracle Fusion Applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The initiative aligns with the DoD’s broader software modernisation strategy, helping agencies to meet compliance and security standards while scaling cloud capabilities. With Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, the DAF can reduce costs, enhance productivity, and strengthen financial control mechanisms.

Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM will provide deeper insights and improved decision-making, while Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM offers greater visibility into workforce data and an improved employee experience for airmen and their families. Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM supports the optimisation of supply chain operations, building greater resilience and responsiveness.

“Oracle is committed to helping government customers achieve their modernization goals without compromising security or efficiency,” said Kim Lynch, executive vice president, Government, Defense & Intelligence, Oracle. “Our collaboration with the DAF exemplifies this commitment. With Oracle Fusion Applications, the DAF now has access to a secure and scalable AI-powered cloud applications to help transform critical personnel services, reduce administrative burdens, and empower airmen to focus on completing their core missions.”

The BCAP, developed by the DAF’s Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (GBH), DISA, and Oracle, provides a dedicated, secure link to Oracle’s cloud services. This sets a scalable foundation for future cloud adoption across DoD agencies handling sensitive data.
