The SMASH 2000L is SMARTSHOOTER’s lightest handheld-operated fire control system, designed to enable ground forces to detect, track, and eliminate aerial and ground threats with high precision. The system employs artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced tracking algorithms, offering a proven solution particularly effective against drones and other small unmanned systems.
The USMC had previously tested the SMASH 2000L, gaining operational experience before moving forward with this latest procurement. According to SMARTSHOOTER, this order marks a significant step towards full-scale deployment across the U.S. Marine Corps.
The system was originally selected and tested by the U.S. Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO) and the Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate (IWTSD). Since then, it has been fielded by U.S. Special Forces, the U.S. Marine Corps, and several NATO allies.
“With SMASH 2000L, dismounted Marines are equipped with an effective, combat-proven solution against the growing threat of drones on the battlefield,” said Michal Mor, CEO of SMARTSHOOTER. “This new order is an important step toward potential adoption of the SMASH fire control systems at the squad level, and we remain committed to supporting the Marine Corps with cutting-edge, operationally proven kinetic capabilities.”
SMARTSHOOTER’s SMASH family of Fire Control Systems is currently deployed by defence and security forces in the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, NATO, and other allied nations. The systems are designed to enhance precision, situational awareness, and lethality in complex combat environments.
