The U.S. Marine Corps has received more than 100 F-35C fighter jets, enhancing its carrier-based operational capabilities. The F-35C, developed by Lockheed Martin, is the world's only fifth-generation, long-range stealth strike fighter designed for aircraft carrier operations.

Equipped with advanced stealth technology, supersonic speed, and superior agility, the F-35C offers pilots a significant advantage in various combat scenarios. Lockheed Martin describes it as “the most advanced fighter to ever operate from a carrier deck,” highlighting its cutting-edge design and performance.

The F-35C’s deployment is particularly significant in the Indo-Pacific region, where its presence supports peace through strength. “The F-35’s growing presence across the Indo-Pacific region underpins peace through strength,” according to Lockheed Martin, emphasizing its role in regional stability.

In recent operations, the Marine Corps has demonstrated the F-35C’s combat readiness. Last month, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 314 conducted the first F-35C combat air strikes against Houthi-controlled territories in Yemen, marking a pivotal moment in the aircraft’s operational history.
