In November 2024, BAE Systems was awarded a five-year, USD 251 million contract by the U.S. Navy. The agreement focuses on providing large-scale system engineering and technical expertise for the AEGIS Combat System.

The contract supports the AEGIS TECHREP organisation in maintaining complex combat system configurations. This work will benefit the U.S. Navy, the Missile Defense Agency, and the Foreign Military Sales programme.

Lisa Hand, Vice President and General Manager of BAE Systems’ Integrated Defence Solutions business, highlighted the company’s long-standing collaboration with the U.S. Navy. She emphasised that BAE Systems’ expertise, innovation, and agility ensure safe and effective combat capabilities.

Under this contract, BAE Systems will deliver services in systems engineering, test and evaluation, logistics, system acquisitions, and cybersecurity. The company has also contributed to the Navy’s digital transformation strategy by developing advanced digital analytics tools.

These tools enable near real-time assessments of mission impacts caused by software deficiencies. This capability helps the Navy prioritise investments in enhancing critical combat capabilities.
