The NERVA LG is a highly versatile robotic platform designed for reconnaissance and operational support. It can perform tasks such as remote observation, detection, and manipulation in hazardous environments, making it indispensable for operations involving IED or CBRN threats. According to KNDS France, the robot’s modularity allows it to be reconfigured in seconds without specialised tools, ensuring adaptability in the most varied operational contexts.
The lightweight NERVA LG, weighing only 5 kg, is easily deployable by mounted or dismounted personnel. Controlled via smartphone, tablet, or computer, it is designed for rapid deployment and seamless integration into combat systems. It can collect information from up to 1 km in open terrain or 300 m in urban settings, enhancing situational awareness and operational efficiency.
The robot’s advanced features include compatibility with a wide range of payloads, such as CBRN detectors, anti-IED tools, lighting systems, and smoke generators. This adaptability makes the NERVA LG an ideal tool for reconnaissance, area clearance, and other critical missions, where speed and precision are paramount.
KNDS France expressed gratitude to its teams and partners for their contributions to this achievement. “This new order illustrates the quality and reliability of our solutions, as well as our ability to meet the specific needs of the most demanding special forces. A big thank you to our teams for their commitment and to our partners for their renewed trust,” the company stated.
First unveiled at the Eurosatory 2012 exhibition, the NERVA LG has a proven track record of deployment across various global organisations. Since 2017, it has been utilised by the US Navy SEALs and has seen use by elite units such as France’s GIGN, the Canadian Armed Forces, and emergency services in Shanghai.
