Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said it held talks with U.S. company RTX on accelerating deliveries of missiles for Patriot systems and expanding industrial cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses. The discussions took place at a meeting between Deputy Defense Minister Sergiy Boyev and an RTX delegation led by Jennifer Pushner, Executive Director of Raytheon in Ukraine.

The sides reviewed priority areas of cooperation aimed at improving protection of Ukraine’s airspace and developing domestic technical capabilities to support advanced weapons systems. Boyev stressed the urgency of strengthening air defense amid intensified attacks on cities and infrastructure.

“You can clearly see how vital and critical air defense capabilities are, as well as the pace at which we must act in this area. Overnight, during one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine involving a record number of ballistic missiles, energy infrastructure sustained further damage,” Boyev said.

Raytheon representatives said they were ready to accelerate missile deliveries for Patriot systems through direct contracts and international support mechanisms. The meeting also addressed the maintenance and sustainment of air and missile defense systems in service with Ukraine’s defense forces.

The talks focused on moving beyond deliveries of finished systems toward deeper industrial cooperation, including the creation of domestic maintenance and repair capabilities for Western equipment in Ukraine. Boyev thanked partners for their support and said expanding cooperation with leading defense companies remains one of Ukraine’s strategic priorities.
