At the forefront of the presentation were the DELTA combat system and the AI-based Avengers platform. These innovations highlight Ukraine’s commitment to technological superiority in modern warfare, which Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development, Kateryna Chernohorenko, described as a crucial factor on the battlefield.
The Avengers platform, showcased as a prime example of artificial intelligence integration, can identify 70% of enemy vehicles and equipment from video streams. Remarkably, it detects a single unit in just 2.2 seconds, showcasing a significant leap in combat intelligence capabilities.
Kateryna Chernohorenko emphasised the transformative role of technology in securing future peace. “Technological superiority on the battlefield is one of the key factors in modern warfare. Ukraine has already demonstrated that drones can be a game-changer, even against an enemy with superior manpower and equipment,” she stated.
Chernohorenko also highlighted the importance of creating a comprehensive ecosystem for unmanned systems. “We have created a system where drones in the air, on land, and at sea operate together, delivering precise strikes in real time. The DELTA combat system equips our warriors with situational awareness and enables them to coordinate actions within minutes. This is how we fight smarter,” she explained.
Since its establishment in 2022, following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the London Defence Conference has focused on enhancing the global approach to security. This year, the Ukrainian delegation also participated in discussions on European security challenges.
Conference attendees acknowledged Ukraine’s forward-thinking approach to modern warfare. They noted that the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ experience in digitalisation offers valuable insights for other nations. Several countries have already expressed interest in the DELTA combat system, recognising its potential to modernise defence strategies.
