Brave1, a defence technology platform supported by the Ukrainian government, has conducted trials of an advanced interceptor drone developed by German manufacturer TYTAN Technologies. The trials, which involved Ukrainian operators, aimed to assess the drone’s potential to address modern aerial threats.

The drone, developed by TYTAN Technologies, is designed to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including those based on Iranian Shahed designs and other reconnaissance systems. Capable of reaching speeds of 300 km/h and covering a range of 20 kilometres, the UAV is engineered for rapid and precise operations.

Future enhancements to the drone are planned, including the integration of an automatic targeting system powered by machine vision technology. These upgrades are intended to improve the system’s accuracy and overall performance.

Representatives from Ukraine’s Security and Defence Forces observed the testing process and noted the system’s potential applications. One official described the technology as addressing critical needs for countering persistent drone threats on the battlefield.

Ukrainian operators directly controlled the UAV during the trials to evaluate its suitability for current operational challenges. Feedback gathered from the testing will inform further development and customisation to optimise the drone for specific defence needs.
