The German Government has updated the list of armament and military equipment delivered to Ukraine under the military support program. As reported, Berlin has recently delivered another 10 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the German Government, Berlin has so far handed over a total of 20 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to Ukraine.

As Defence Industry Europe reported, in February, Germany, Netherlands, and Denmark jointly launched a program aimed at supplying Ukraine with at least 100 Leopard 1 main battle tanks from defense industry stocks.

The first batch of ten Leopard 1A5 tanks has been handed over to Ukraine in July.

All Leopard 1A5 tanks are refurbished and maintained before being sent to Ukraine. German defense giant Rheinmetall is responsible for these works. The company is also preparing the Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine.

Earlier this year, Germany also delivered 18 modern Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine. Reports from the Armed Forces of Ukraine state that these tanks have been used by the Ukrainian army during the counteroffensive operation in the Zaporozha region.
