Myhalko previously led Tech Force in UA, one of Ukraine’s most influential defence industry associations, where she worked closely with government authorities, the armed forces and international partners to integrate private defence technologies at scale. Her work focused in particular on unmanned and robotic systems across multiple domains.
A key element of her tenure was a sustained effort to lift export restrictions on Ukrainian defence products, an initiative that culminated on 8 February in a decision by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to remove those restrictions. The move marked a milestone for Ukraine’s defence industry and its integration into the European and allied security ecosystem.
The leadership transition comes as the UXS Alliance seeks to deepen cross-border industrial cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union and to accelerate the deployment of interoperable, software-driven unmanned systems for Europe and its allies. “The lessons from Ukraine are clear: defence innovation must be fast, scalable, and internationally connected,” said Kateryna Myhalko, Managing Director of the UXS Alliance. “At the UXS Alliance, we now have the opportunity to apply these lessons at a European level and turn them into lasting capability.”
Under Myhalko’s leadership, the alliance said it would intensify work on cross-domain interoperability, common software frameworks and scalable production models, while broadening engagement with European institutions, armed forces and allied partners. Founded in 2024, the UXS Alliance brings together leading European defence and dual-use technology companies across air, land, maritime and space domains to accelerate the development, interoperability and industrialisation of unmanned capabilities in response to the evolving security environment and modern warfare.
