The contract was signed on 24 October by Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB Group, and Colonel Piotr Paluch, Deputy Head of the Armament Agency. It includes not only FlyEye sets but also technical documentation, as well as repair, logistics, and training packages.
“This contract is another step in strengthening the reconnaissance capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces and equipping operational units with battle-proven Polish systems,” said Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB Group. The agreement also continues the long-term cooperation between WB Group and the Polish defence sector.
The FlyEye systems will be integrated with the TOPAZ combat management system already used with Polish mortars, howitzers, and rocket launchers. This ensures that reconnaissance data can be directly used in tactical decision-making by frontline units.
This is the fourth executive contract under the broader framework agreement signed on 5 September 2023 during the XXXI International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce. The FlyEye drones are developed and produced by Flytronic, part of WB Group since 2009.
FlyEye is a mini-class UAS designed for image-based reconnaissance, equipped with modular payloads that include both daylight and thermal imaging. It is capable of operating effectively in all weather, day or night.
The system has a strong operational track record, having been used by Polish Military Contingents, Operational Forces, and Territorial Defence Forces. It has also shown high performance and durability in active combat zones in Ukraine.
