The expansion strengthens X-Bow’s role as a key supplier of SRMs to the U.S. Navy and Army, reinforcing the DoD supply chain at a critical time for national defence. The company’s contribution is essential for fortifying the U.S. defence industrial base and addressing emerging national security needs.
On December 3, 2024, X-Bow hosted Ms. Adele Ratcliff, Director of the DoD’s Innovation Capability and Modernization (ICAM) Office, at its Texas campus. Ms. Ratcliff highlighted the importance of expanding alternative sources of SRM production, stressing that X-Bow is a vital partner in the Department’s efforts to improve the U.S. defence industrial base (DIB) and capabilities in hypersonics.
Max Vozoff, X-Bow’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasised the company’s innovative manufacturing techniques. He explained that these advancements will enable X-Bow to produce high-performance SRMs more efficiently, enhancing the nation’s security posture while reducing production costs.
During her visit, Ms. Ratcliff saw firsthand the new manufacturing methods that will significantly increase SRM production and decrease production costs. X-Bow is also nearing completion of a new Texas facility, which will become the second-largest SRM production site in the U.S.
