President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for NATO’s assistance since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He emphasised the importance of the meeting as a strong signal of commitment from NATO and its military leadership.
Key topics discussed included preparations for the next meeting in the Ramstein format and Ukraine’s defence priorities. The President stressed the need to implement agreements reached at the NATO Summit in Washington, particularly in strengthening Ukraine’s air defence.

Zelenskyy highlighted that the Russian leadership remains unwilling to end the war. He insisted that only a strong Ukrainian position, combined with sustained pressure on Russia, can force a just and lasting peace.
A significant focus of the discussions was the operational launch of the NSATU mission, “Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine.” President Zelenskyy expressed Ukraine’s hope for tangible results, particularly in improving coordination of military aid.
Chair Dragone reaffirmed NATO’s commitment to Ukraine, describing the country as an integral part of transatlantic security. He assured that the alliance remains dedicated to defending shared values and upholding its commitments.
The two leaders also addressed ongoing military support from NATO member states and direct investment in Ukraine’s long-range drone production, inspired by the Danish model. They visited a defence industry facility, where they examined the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons and met with workers.
President Zelenskyy praised the workforce for their contributions to Ukraine’s defence and presented state awards in recognition of their service. He noted the significance of domestically produced weapons, which continue to strengthen the army and serve as a deterrent against Russian aggression.
He concluded by stating that Ukraine’s defence industry has reached a high level of capability despite the war. NATO representatives, he added, acknowledged these achievements and recognised Ukraine’s growing military production capacity.
