The Netherlands signs $305 million contract for PULS systems

European countries continue to demonstrate their interest in procuring advanced weapon systems from Israel. Elbit Systems, an Israeli company, has been awarded a significant contract worth $305 million by the Royal Netherlands Army to supply the Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS) artillery rocket systems. The contract will span a period of five years.

As part of the agreement, Elbit Systems will deliver 20 PULS artillery rocket systems, which will be integrated onto the selected COMMIT (previously DMO) truck platform. The contract also includes the provision of rockets and missiles of various ranges, as well as training and support services.

Elbit’s PULS system is designed with an open architecture approach, allowing for future expansion and integration of legacy C4i solutions. It offers flexibility in adapting to specific customer requirements.

The PULS system provides a comprehensive and cost-effective solution, enabling the firing of both free-flying rockets and precision-guided rockets and missiles. It covers a range from 12km up to 300km. The PULS launcher is fully adaptable and can be mounted on a wide range of wheeled and tracked platforms, reducing maintenance and training costs for existing fleets.

Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems, expressed gratitude to the Ministries of Defence of Israel and the Netherlands for this groundbreaking agreement. The acquisition of Elbit Systems’ PULS solution will significantly enhance the Royal Netherlands Army’s ability to provide effective indirect fire support. It will also promote interoperability with NATO customers who have acquired similar systems. This contract further validates Elbit Systems’ cutting-edge military technologies and highlights the strong partnerships the company has formed with NATO countries across Europe.
