The Republic of Korea Army has conducted its first-ever international user training on the advanced K239 Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System, specifically tailored for soldiers from the Polish Armed Forces. This marks a significant milestone in defence cooperation between South Korea and Poland, as the Polish troops operate the Homar-K, the Polish variant of the Chunmoo system.

A total of 16 personnel from the Polish Armed Forces participated in the programme, which was carefully structured to enhance their operational skills and field effectiveness with the system. The training reflects a growing commitment to international collaboration in defence capability development.

Hanwha Aerospace stated, “We believe that our responsibility extends far beyond the point of sale.” This philosophy is embodied in their ongoing K9 User Club initiative, which supports K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer users across 10 nations with long-term logistics and shared operational best practices.

Drawing inspiration from the success of the K9 User Club and the recent Chunmoo training, Hanwha Aerospace aims to establish a similar long-term support framework for all Chunmoo system operators worldwide. The company affirmed, “Our goal is to empower our international partners, contributing directly to the strengthening of their defence capabilities and ensuring the long-term success of the Chunmoo system on the global stage.”
