A U.S. Air Force B-2A Spirit stealth bomber, escorted by four F-35 Lightning II fighter jets, flew over Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, on 15 August 2025 as U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met there.

 

The display was watched by hundreds of thousands online, marking a striking backdrop to the high-level talks.

 

 

Putin arrived in Alaska aboard an Il-96-300PU, the primary Russian presidential aircraft for long-range travel. His arrival was preceded by other support aircraft, including a Tu-214PU carrying members of his delegation.
