B-2 Spirit stealth bombers deployed to Iceland for Bomber Task Force Europe

United States Air Force B-2 Spirit stealth bombers arrived in Keflavik, Iceland, to participate in a Bomber Task Force Europe operation with NATO Allies on August 13. Bomber Task Force provide U.S. and NATO leaders with strategic options to assure, deter and defend against adversary aggression against the Alliance, throughout Europe, and across the globe.

B-2 Spirit bombers will be stationed there temporarily, engaging in training exercises alongside European allies with limited service support.

Several B-2 Spirit missions are planned over Central and Eastern Europe.

 

 

This B-2 Spirit deployment was intended to signal the United States’ preparedness to defend European NATO countries against potential acts of aggression.
