The FREMM EVO Programme has successfully completed its Critical Design Review across the Platform, Combat System, and Whole Warship and Integrated Logistic Support domains, marking the achievement of a key high-level objective.

This milestone confirms that the design meets all required standards and formally allows the programme to move into the production phase.

Completion of the review in line with the planned schedule confirms the programme remains on track to deliver two advanced naval units to the Marina Militare Italiana by June 2029 and June 2030, strengthening future maritime security capabilities.

The outcome reflects the coordinated work of the OCCAR HORIZON team and its partners, underlining the value of national and international cooperation in delivering modern naval assets that support shared European defence interests.
