American Rheinmetall expands rubber product portfolio following acquisition of Loc Performance

By Defence Industry Europe

American Rheinmetall has announced an expansion of its rubber product portfolio, strengthening its position in the U.S. industrial and defence sectors. This development follows the company’s recent acquisition of Loc Performance, marking a significant step in its continued growth strategy.

The expanded offerings now include custom rubber compounding capabilities, proprietary formulas, and a broad range of rubber-based components. These are designed to meet high-performance requirements across agriculture, construction, defence, and industrial markets.

With this move, American Rheinmetall becomes a vertically integrated supplier, managing the entire process from rubber compound mixing to finished products. The integration enables improved quality control, quicker delivery times, and a more streamlined experience for customers.

“As part of the American Rheinmetall family, we bring together decades of experience in rubber compounding with world-class manufacturing infrastructure and a deep commitment to innovation,” said Tom Dawson, Account Executive for Compound Mix Products at the company’s St. Marys, Ohio facility. “We are excited to offer OEMs and end users a broader, more customisable range of rubber solutions than ever before.”

The company will present its expanded capabilities at the 2025 Global Polymer Summit, taking place from 8 to 11 September at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Visitors are invited to Booth #1941 to explore American Rheinmetall’s innovative rubber compounding solutions and discuss partnership opportunities with Dawson and his team.

With over 75 years of expertise in rubber compounding and manufacturing, American Rheinmetall remains a reliable provider of durable, high-precision solutions. The company continues to exceed industry standards in delivering both mission-ready and market-ready products.
