Numerica Corporation, founded in 1996, specialises in ballistic missile defence systems, compact air defence radars, and advanced battlespace awareness software. Its proprietary radar systems, including the Spyglass and Spark radars, are already in active use by the U.S. Department of Defense for missions such as short-range air defence and vehicle protection. These technologies will now complement Anduril’s existing automated sensing solutions, including the Wisp, Pulsar, and Iris systems.
By incorporating Numerica’s flagship Mimir command-and-control software, Anduril aims to enhance its Lattice platform. Lattice is an AI-powered system that connects sensors, effectors, and systems to deliver real-time solutions for improved situational awareness, decision-making, and fire control. The integration of Mimir introduces advanced tracking, track correlation, and theatre-wide fusion capabilities, addressing critical needs in air defence and missile warning.
The acquisition also aligns with Anduril’s commitment to scaling production and innovation in radar technologies. Anduril plans to manufacture Numerica’s Spyglass and Spark radars, along with future radar products, at its Arsenal-1 hyperscale factory as production ramps up. The Numerica team’s expertise in mathematical algorithms, scientific computing, and hardware engineering will bolster Anduril’s efforts in air defence, missile defence, and vehicle protection.
