Anduril Industries unveils Pulsar-L electromagnetic warfare system for rapid, tactical deployment

By Defence Industry Europe

Anduril Industries has introduced Pulsar-L (Pulsar-Lite), the latest addition to its Pulsar family of software-defined Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) systems. The new platform delivers high-performance EW capabilities in a compact, portable design aimed at providing detect, identify, track, and defeat functions at the tactical edge.

Pulsar-L is intended to overcome the limitations of conventional EW systems, which are often described as rigid, manual, and narrowly tailored to specific threats. The system is designed to be adaptable across different environments, combining a broad range of capabilities that are rarely found together in such a small form factor.

According to Anduril, Pulsar-L is “built for the warfighter,” operating autonomously to allow users to focus on battlefield awareness rather than system operation. The system is simple to use and can be set up in two minutes, removing the need for high levels of technical expertise.

Two versions of Pulsar-L are currently being fielded: an airborne configuration for aerial missions and an expeditionary variant intended for use by individual warfighters. Both versions are designed for rapid deployment and can be operated straight off the shelf in a wide variety of mission settings.

Anduril highlighted that the system’s modular design allows for continuous upgrades to maintain a technological edge. Pulsar-L can function independently or be integrated with Anduril’s Lattice system, and is compatible with widely used command and control and situational awareness tools such as TAK.

“Pulsar-L is built for the threats that have yet to emerge — because waiting until they do is too late,” the company said in a statement. The system is currently in field operations and can be produced at scale, with Anduril stating it can manufacture thousands of units annually to meet broader operational demands.
