Aselsan delivers critical indigenous systems for Altay main battle tank series production

Aselsan has completed Factory Acceptance Tests for key systems under the Altay Series Production Project Subsystems Contract signed with BMC. These systems have now been delivered to BMC for integration into the first three tanks coming off Türkiye’s national main battle tank production line.

The contract includes 13 domestically developed systems, such as the Tank Fire Control System, Active Protection System, and Remote-Controlled Weapon Station. Additional systems provided include the Identification Friend or Foe System, Tank Driver Vision System, and Tactical Radios.

These technologies equip the Altay tank with modern digital and network-enabled capabilities for advanced battlefield readiness. According to Aselsan, this delivery represents a significant step in strengthening Türkiye’s defence infrastructure.

 

 

“By equipping Altay with this wide range of advanced technologies, Aselsan strengthens Türkiye’s defense capabilities and ensures the operational superiority of the nation’s flagship main battle tank,” the company stated. “With these systems, Altay enters service as a fully digital, network-enabled platform equipped for the future battlefield.”
