ASELSAN: DERİNGÖZ 100M/600 unmanned underwater vehicle ready for operational deployment

By Defence Industry Europe

Turkish defence company ASELSAN has announced that its Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV), DERİNGÖZ 100M/600, has successfully completed sea trials, confirming its operational readiness. The vehicle demonstrated strong performance across multiple payload configurations, showcasing its suitability for both military and civilian missions.

The trials validated key capabilities including manoeuvrability, autonomous navigation, payload integration, and imaging through optical and sonar systems. Communication systems—cabled, wireless, and acoustic—were also tested successfully under real sea conditions.

Designed for depths of up to 600 metres, DERİNGÖZ 100M/600 has a base endurance of five hours, extendable to 15 hours with additional battery modules. It can reach speeds of 5.5 knots and is optimised for scanning missions at 3 knots.

Its modular architecture supports tailored payloads, making it adaptable to diverse mission requirements. These include mine countermeasures, pipeline inspection, port security, underwater infrastructure protection, and exploration tasks.

With its confirmed operational capabilities and flexible design, DERİNGÖZ 100M/600 is now ready for service deployment. ASELSAN positions the system as a strategic asset for both defence and commercial underwater operations.
