According to the company, these features allow defence systems to detect, track and respond to multiple threats at once with greater speed and accuracy. For space applications, CapLink Array integrates transponders, offers polarisation diversity and enables data transmission of up to 3.5 Gbps, with the possibility of higher rates using advanced ground equipment.
“This technology represents a major step forward for both defense and commercial space operations,” said Sean McDaniel, President and CEO of Assured Space. “By combining advanced engineering with flexible design, CapLink Array delivers unmatched versatility and reliability to missions that demand precision, speed, and resilience.”
The antenna system is compatible with software-defined radios, allowing integration with existing command and control systems. It supports several mission profiles, including missile defence radar, ground-based radar systems, synthetic aperture radar, space situational awareness and satellite communications.
Assured Space stated that the launch coincides with investment in its Phased Array Center of Excellence in Melbourne, Florida, dedicated to phased array technology, RF antenna systems and secure 5G architectures. The facility is expected to contribute to reducing a global backlog of more than $30 billion in defence and commercial contracts.
