The collaboration aims to enhance the training of military and civil aviation professionals through ITPS’ two divisions: the International Test Pilots School (ITPS) and International Tactical Training Centre (ITTC). With AqLab and AqModel, trainees will now access detailed models of currently deployed missile systems, empowering them to better understand missile behaviour in flight, improve decision-making, and increase survivability and operational effectiveness in combat scenarios.
Avioniq’s AqLab and AqModel allow users to construct, analyse, and simulate the performance of complex missile systems with accuracy. This capability will enable trainees to prepare for real-world combat situations, including beyond-visual-range engagements, by closely mimicking the dynamics of battlefield threats. The technology will be operational in ITPS Canada’s training programmes by late 2025.
Mikael Grev, Founder and CEO of Avioniq, highlighted the transformative potential of this partnership: “ITPS Canada’s adoption of AqLab and AqModel will help their trainees effectively prepare for the challenges of modern combat. We are eager to see these tools become an integral part of their fleet and training syllabus.”
Dave Lohse, Acting CEO of ITPS (Canada) Ltd., emphasised the importance of integrating advanced technologies into their training approach. “By introducing Avioniq’s innovative simulation products, we ensure our students receive world-class tactical and flight test training. This collaboration strengthens their readiness for complex operational scenarios and equips future flight test professionals with vital technical experience.”
