U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers and personnel from the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base have departed Misawa Air Base after completing a Bomber Task Force deployment. The aircraft were stationed in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility to train and integrate with allies, partners and joint forces.

During the deployment, the squadron demonstrated its ability to operate with Japan and India at the same time, carrying out flyovers and joint force integration missions. The unit also worked with Japan, India, the Philippines and Canada, completing 14 higher headquarters missions and 10 local sorties to strengthen interoperability and support stability across the Indo-Pacific region.

Lt. Col. Richard Hansen, 9th EBS commander, said: “BTF deployments and operations, alongside other military activities in the region, enhance readiness and demonstrate our commitment to Allies and partners.” He added: “Every mission we fly while deployed is designed to deter adversaries, assure allies and partners, strengthen interoperability, maintain readiness and global strike capability.”
