Red 6 said it has integrated its Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality Systems technology on Boeing's AH-64E Apache Crewstation Advanced Technology Testbed. The company said this is the first time an augmented reality flight training system has been linked to a rotorcraft platform and shows progress in training options for current and future aviators.

The U.S. Department of War has announced the signing of a production contract with Boeing for AH-64E Apache helicopters ordered through the Foreign Military Sales system. The agreement is valued at 4.7 billion dollars and is scheduled for completion by the end of May 2032.

At signature, an initial tranche of 2.3 billion dollars was released, drawn entirely from export customers Poland, Egypt and Kuwait. Neither the contracting authority nor Boeing has disclosed how the order value is divided among the three nations.

In addition to the AH-64E helicopters, the contract covers training and simulation equipment, spare parts and other essential support items. The Polish order, placed via FMS, includes 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters, with the full package estimated at around 10 billion dollars net.

Poland’s Letter of Offer and Acceptance was approved in Inowrocław in August 2024, and deliveries are set to run from 2028 to 2032. Annual planned deliveries are 15, 20, 32, 21 and eight aircraft respectively.

For Boeing, the deal is significant because it ensures continued operation of the AH-64E Apache assembly line for several more years. The company had previously projected that production of existing orders would conclude around 2029.
