The European Defence Agency (EDA) will support two Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) projects focused on shaping future European airlift capabilities.
"We do already have the European Defence Fund, which helps develop cutting-edge military technologies. And now we have to make progress on the joint defence procurement," underlines President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
“With the return of war to European soil, all of us in Europe must contribute more actively to taking responsibility for our own security” – so said High Representative and Head of EDA Josep Borrell in April.
A central part of the symposium was devoted to drawing the tactical lessons from recent EDA helicopter exercises, such as ‘Fire Blade 22’.
