Orqa has expanded manufacturing at its headquarters in Osijek, Croatia, enabling the company to produce up to 280,000 NDAA-compliant drones per year and removing its dependence on Chinese supply chains. The Croatian developer of FPV and unmanned aerial systems said the increased capacity is built on proprietary, in-house components.

The company said the move responds to rising demand for reliable, defence-grade systems free from Chinese parts. It added that its vertically integrated model, covering the design, engineering and manufacture of all key components, ensures full control of performance, reliability and security.

“This milestone reinforces our conviction that Europe can build a secure and independent industrial capacity for defence technology,” said Srdjan Kovacevic, CEO of Orqa. “We’ve proven that high-performance drone production can be scaled outside of China, supporting the creation of resilient and trusted global supply chains. As demand accelerates, we’re ready to deliver securely and at scale.”

Orqa said the upgraded facility enhances its engineering and precision-assembly capabilities, allowing it to manufacture both complete systems and components for trusted partners. The company has also begun extending its production model through a decentralised network of strategic international manufacturing partners, with agreements already in place in key regions.
