AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) has welcomed two new members following unanimous approval by its Board: Czechoslovak Group (CSG) and WB Group. CSG is an industrial and technology group headquartered in Prague with activities spanning defence, security and aerospace, while WB Group is Poland’s largest private defence industry group based in the Warsaw region.

The new memberships took effect on 1 January 2026, bringing ASD’s total to 28 direct member companies and 23 associations from 21 European countries. According to ASD, the enlarged membership reflects the breadth of Europe’s defence industrial ecosystem and its growing geographic diversity.

Michal Strnad, Owner and Chairman of the Board of CSG, said: “CSG’s membership in ASD is an important step in strengthening our engagement at the European level.” He added: “We are proud to contribute CSG’s industrial capabilities and technological know-how, rooted in Central Europe, to the collective effort of building a more sovereign, secure and capable Europe.”

Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB Group, described the decision as a logical development for the company’s growth. He said: “Membership in ASD is a natural step for the Poland-based, globally expanding WB Group, reflecting our strong European roots.”

Camille Grand, ASD Secretary General, welcomed the two companies into the association. He said: “Our growing membership and the diverse profiles of our members underline ASD’s identity as a genuinely European association representing a broad ecosystem of companies supporting a sovereign and secure Europe.”
