MSM Group acquires IFF’s nitrocellulose business in Germany

MSM Group, a Slovak subsidiary of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), has entered into a purchase agreement with US-based IFF to acquire its nitrocellulose business.

ZVS Holding has inaugurated a new production line for the production of 155-millimetre artillery ammunition bodies at its facility in Snina, eastern Slovakia. The ceremony, held on 4 October 2024, was attended by Pavol Čahoj, Chairman of the Board of ZVS Holding, and Slovak Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák. This new line is part of a major investment aimed at increasing the production of large-calibre ammunition bodies to meet rising global demand.

ZVS Holding has inaugurated a new production line for the production of 155-millimetre artillery ammunition bodies at its facility in Snina, eastern Slovakia.

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) will cooperate with Ukrainian arms manufacturer Ukrainian Armor (UkrainskaBronetechnika) to produce 155mm caliber artillery ammunition locally in Ukraine. This agreement is part of a larger package of contracts signed by the two companies on 2nd October 2024 during the International Defense Industries Forum (DFNC2) in Kiev. Production of 155-millimeter artillery shells under this cooperation will begin next year.

At Eurosatory 2024 trade fair, Tatra Trucks presented the latest 3rd generation of the Tatra Force model series for the armed forces in a world premiere and the vehicle was presented at MSPO 2024 fair in Poland as well. The new generation of the model line is equipped with modern engines, receives advanced on-board electronics and also brings greater safety or a higher level of ergonomics and control. In Paris, it was presented in a version with a standard cabin, later armoured cabins will also be available.

On June 26, the handover of the last ordered examples of modern TITUS armoured vehicles for the Army of the Czech Republic took place at the Army Material Security Centre of Technical Services in Štěpánov near Olomouc, Czechia. The supplier, the company Eldis Pardubice, together with the manufacturer and integrator, the company Tatra Defence Vehicle (TDV), by this act fulfilled the overall contractual obligation to the Army of the Czech Republic regarding the supply of a total of 62 units of TITUS vehicles of three versions within the required deadline.

MSPO 2023: companies of the Czechoslovak Group holding and Tatra Trucks participate in the largest defence fair in Central Europe.

On August 8, Tatra Trucks, a subsidiary of the Czechoslovak Group, officially handed over the last three logistics vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic under the August 2022 contract for the delivery of 209 heavy-duty off-road vehicles in the transport version of the Tatra 815-7 6×6 Force series.

Tatra Trucks, a subsidiary of the Czechoslovak Group, officially handed over the last three logistics vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic under the August 2022 contract.

Up to 300 new jobs will be created in the new halls, which will be built in the manufacturing companies of industrial-technology holding company Czechoslovak Group in the coming months. Preparation works are proceeding at a brisk pace even during the summer months. In total, the holding, owned by Czech industrialist Michal Strnad, is investing more than two billion crowns to increase the production capacity of its businesses. New operations will be established in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the companies Tatra Defence Vehicle, Excalibur Army, and the Slovak MSM Group, which are part of the CSG Defence division.

After the IDEX 2023 fair, they will present their products and services in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Latin America Aero & Defense (LAAD) exhibition from April 11 to 14, for the first time ever. In addition to Excalibur International, these will be the companies Eldis, Retia and CS Soft all belonging to the CSG Aerospace division.
