The cooperation aims to enhance Ukraine’s defence capabilities and support closer integration with Europe’s defence-industrial and innovation base. It includes plans to establish maintenance and service facilities for Weibel Scientific’s advanced radar systems in Ukraine.
The agreement also outlines possibilities for joint technology development, the creation of a joint enterprise, and collaboration with educational institutions in both Ukraine and Denmark. Weibel Scientific specialises in continuous-wave radar technology, which is used for surveillance and defence applications.
Minister Smetanin noted Denmark’s previous contributions to Ukraine’s defence sector and emphasised the country’s role as a long-term partner. He thanked Weibel Scientific for its readiness to collaborate and acknowledged the Danish government’s support for the initiative.
